The Z family made the trek from Southlake to one of my favorite spots in Fort Worth. There’s something about the trees here that keep calling me back. I held my first mini-session at the trees and fell in love with the way the light filters through. This particular afternoon was slightly overcast but still made for some beautiful pictures. The ages of the Z kids can usually be a little tricky…seeing that most teens are waaaay too cool, and just simply don’t have the time ๐Ÿ˜‰ Not these three…they were great sports and the love they all hold for one another exudes! I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter family to spend my afternoon with. Thanks for letting me capture this time of your lives!

  • Kelli Zenick - THANK YOU, Hayley!!! We love the photos!! You’re so sweet….it was worth the drive (even though it’s not far)and we’re looking forward to doing it again!!!ReplyCancel

…fresh new start! I’ve been working tirelessly on this new website/blog with the goal to unveil it to the world wide web on the first day of the new year. I’m patting myself on the back, seeing that I ACTUALLY did it! It is still in need of some major fine tuning, but all in all I’m proud of what I have to show on 1/1/2013 ๐Ÿ™‚ ย What better way to unveil my new website, then to share some favorites from the busy season. The last three months have been nonstop. I vowed to hold only ONE holiday mini session. The response on FaceBook and number of emails with “PLEASE tell me you have a spot left”, encouraged me to add another…and another…and another which evolved into FIVE holiday mini-sessions. Throw in a calendar full of newborns, my first bridal, families galore…and you’ve got yourself one full holiday season! ย As I was moving, pulling, “collage making” of pictures, I realized I could go on forever! I’m FAR from a loyal blogger and have so many images that I love, that I should have shared with everyone! So on the eve of new years day, I hereby declare my resolution…be a better blogger ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m hoping to take HRP to a new level this year. So without further adieu, a handful of my holiday mini favorites…P I N I T

  • Sabrina - Yay! New blog looks great! Happy New Year friend!ReplyCancel

  • Christine McKeel - I found you through I Heart Faces. I really like your style. SImple and elegant with just the right amount of post processing. If I were in Texas, I would definitely hire you!

How long have you been shooting? Can you recommend blogs, training classes that have helped you develop your style?ReplyCancel

    • admin - Thanks for the sweet words Christine! I’ve been shooting and honing my skills for about 4 years. I’ve had my business for about 2. I used to love following blogs but have slowed down down quite a bit as my girls grow and my business grows. There’s just not enough time in the day! I love looking at the photos on Kelle Hampton’s blog http://www.kellehampton.com . I love her raw, not overly edited, lifestyle approach to her photography. Arden Prucha, http://www.ardenprucha.com , is great at posting small tutorials and ‘how to’ blog posts. She too has amazing talent. Look into local camera shops that host classes. Learning your camera is key. Learn what everything is/means and how they mesh together…then practice!ReplyCancel
